Braw Tea is a social enterprise. Our purpose is to help support women from all walks of life through training, live experience of working in a cafe, friendship and confidence building.
About
Meet some of the wonderful
women who run the cafe

Interested in volunteering?
We provide on-the-job training and personal development for women who have additional challenges in their lives. They can put the skills and confidence gained to use as a stepping stone to further education or paid employment.

Our food is professional standard using the best quality ingredients; made from scratch making best use of seasonal and local suppliers and priced fairly. It's not fancy food, it's homely and made with care.

Local suppliers
Our coffee comes from Modern Standard in Fife who source it directly from producers, paying a fair price.
Family-run business, The Cheesery, based in Dundee and Broughty Ferry, supplies our cheese.
The award-winning bakery Wildhearth in Comrie provides our sourdough bread.
Our suppliers are the best quality Scottish producers rather than big corporate brands.

No waste
We have also joined Too Good To Go to make sure we don't waste any food at the end of our service by selling the left over fresh food at a fraction of the cost.

Sustainability
We try our best to do what's right whether it's with our suppliers, packaging or food recycling. Everything is recycled. Any unsold food is given to our volunteers, or is recycled.

With thanks to our collaborators
Braw Tea wouldn’t exist without the tremendous support of our community- from corporate partners, philanthropic Trusts, community groups and individuals. A massive thank you! The people and partners listed here have donated professional expertise, time and hard-earned cash. Our suppliers are local wherever possible, and our women volunteers are just the best!
